Open to a television or radio station or individual broadcaster that has completed a project within the last 12 months (October ’22-Sept ’23) that contributes to society and makes the community a better place to live, work and thrive. Named in honor of the late Alan Noyes, longtime broadcaster and VAB Executive Director, candidates for this award must submit:
- Which community or communities were impacted?
- When the project occurred?
- What the project was?
- Who was involved in the project?
- Why the project was created?
- How their project had a positive impact on the community?

2024 Alan Noyes Community Service Award

In recognition of “Jam for Slam T1D”, a battle of the bands type promotion that raised just under $20,000 for Slam T1D.
2023 Alan Noyes Community Service Award

In recognition of the BUZZ/WIZN “Rocks the Ridge” Golf Tournament fundraiser for, as well as all five radio stations, including WOKO, KOOL 105 & WJOY, adoption of the Brendon P. Cousino Med47 Foundation fundraising events.
2022 Alan Noyes Community Service Award

In recognition of the “Stuff-a-Truck” Food & Funds Drive to benefit the Salvation Army of Barre and Burlington.

In recognition of Star 92.9 (WEZF-FM), WCPV-FM (101.3) and WXZO-FM (96.7) annual Christmas is For Kids campaign.
2018 Alan Noyes Community Service Award
WOKO-FM for helping the Three Day Stampede Towards the Cure for Cystic Fibrosis raise over $2 million dollars over the course of two decades.
2017 Alan Noyes Community Service Award
In recognition of WTSA AM & FM for the creation of Project Feed the Thousands which began in 1994 and has since generated well over a million dollars in cash and over 4 million pounds of food.
