After 50 years working in radio, “Radio Bob” Sherman has retired.
Bob has been a Senior Account Executive at WWOD, WXXK, WTSL, WGXL and WHDQ since 2007. Before that, he was a Senior Account Executive with Nassau Broadcasting and before that, Bob was the General Sales Manager at Vox Radio WKXE/WNHV for 10 years. But that’s not where Bob’s radio story starts! A graduate of Lyndon State College, he DJ’ed at the campus radio station WWLR-FM from 1974-1978. Bob got his first job at WTSL-AM as Operations Manager, two years later became the Program Director and then transitioned to Account Executive. After a brief stint at WCIB in Falmouth, MA where he was the traffic manager and copywriter, Bob returned to Vermont and returned to programming as the Afternoon Drive host and Promotions Director at WVMT-AM and WXXX-FM in Burlington from 1986-1990. But the lure of sales called him back and Bob made the move to Senior Account Executive and Sales Manager for WGXL & WTSL in Lebanon, NH. Its safe to say Bob Sherman has done almost every job there is in radio!
The VAB joins his colleagues in congratulating him on an outstanding 50 year career in radio and wishes him well as he retires!
